Fencing Star Ryan Choi and Singer-songwriter Phil Lam Join Forces for Asian Games Theme Song
One of the highlights of HOY’s Asian Games broadcasting is the dream collaboration unveiled for the first time at today’s event. Hong Kong fencing athlete Ryan Choi will team up with singer-songwriter
Phil Lam to perform the official theme song for HOY’s Asian Games programmes. Following Ryan’s official debut in the music industry earlier this March, his first release was composed by Phil, making this cross-disciplinary collaboration highly anticipated. Speaking on stage, Phil shared that he is looking forward to entering the recording studio with Ryan in June to record the song, while also expressing his support and encouragement for Ryan as he prepares intensively for the Asian Games.
Although Ryan was unable to attend the Kick-off Ceremony in person due to training commitments, he appeared in a video message and said: “Besides participating in this year’s Asian Games as an athlete, I’m also very happy to be singing the Asian Games programme theme song for HOY Media Network as a singer. This song is a collaboration with my good friend Phil Lam.”
