CABLE TV Continuously Live Broadcast FIBA Competition in Hong Kong

Following the exclusive live broadcast of FIBA 3x3 Basketball Competition held in Hong Kong last year, CABLE TV will live broadcast FIBA Men’s Basketball World Cup 2023 Asian Qualifier, another FIBA competition which will be held in Hong Kong again in February. China’s final two qualifiers – against Kazakhstan on 23 February and Iran on 26 February, will be played at Tsuen Wan Sports Centre. CABLE TV will live broadcast these China’s two qualifiers, and simultaneously live broadcast the competitions on HOY TV, free TV channel 77, and Hong Kong International Business Channel (HKIBC), free TV channel 76, respectively.


FIBA competition is going to be held in Hong Kong and live broadcasted by CABLE TV once again! Mr. Tommy Choy, Controller of Sports Channel, i-CABLE Sports Limited, said, “We are proud to live broadcast FIBA Men’s Basketball World Cup 2023 Asian Qualifier in Hong Kong this time. As China’s qualifiers will be played at Tsuen Wan Sports Centre, and Yao Ming, President, Chinese Basketball Association, came with China basketball team, we therefore specially scheduled the competitions to be live broadcasted on CABLE TV, HOY TV and HKIBC, total three TV channels. The competitions will be also presented by a team of professional commentators, in order to bring this international basketball event to our local audience.”


CABLE TV specially arranged the competition, China against Kazakhstan, to be live broadcasted on CABLE Sports (HD 601 / SD 661) and HKIBC at 7:20pm on 23 February, while the competition replay will be broadcasted at 11:45pm on the same day. The competition, China against Iran, is scheduled to be live broadcasted on CABLE Sports (HD 601 / SD 661) and HOY TV at 11:50am on 26 February, so as to bring the most updated and exciting international sports event to our viewers.
